Mt.Tashiro is the paradise in the sky, and the perfect mountain trail for enjoying flower and views.

The large marsh at the summit of Mt.Tashiro blooms many beautiful highland flowers in early summer, which has been selected as one of top Japan’s 100 flowering mountains.
Oze National Park attracts masses of tourists every year due to its outstanding natural beauty.

The best season for hiking is from early June to mid-October. You can enjoy Alpine flowers bloom in early summer, and Tussock cottongrass are swaying by breeze in full summer, and the autumn colors in fall. From the summit of Mt.Tashiro, you can view the 100 Famous Mountain of Japan ;Mt.Aizukoma and Mt.Hiuchi. If you have enough time, you can walk between the two peaks,from Mt.Tashiro to *Mt.Taishaku.
*We recommend taking a round route from Sarukura-tozanguchi Trailhead over Mt.Tashiro and Mt.Taishaku, because you will find difficult the transport connection back if you come down to Umasaka-toge Pass.

The white flowers bloom in June, and the fruits are achenes with feathery styles mid-July to early August.
